Back to basics....

My many remakings are remarkable in their own way. Each, to varying degrees, includes body, mind, and spirit. Each requires being proactive, rather than reactive.

Running always provides the necessary rubric. Running enables me to: regroup; renew; rework; reorganize; remember; and reenergize.

Running is not static; it requires constant movement. So too do I. Running is my restorative.

Remembering why I run, again....

Busy days have sprouted busier days, without fitting in my runs.  Among all of the choices I make, I must choose me.  Today, I did that and tonight I feel fulfilled.  It was hot and I ran a too slow for 4 miles, but I did it and that's what matters.  My iPod provided music, my Garmin provided structure, my mind provided wandering, and my body provided strength.  The result was pure pleasure.

Some things did not get done today, but that happens everyday -- what changes is what gets done or not.  I am glad that my running got done today!  I will relish that accomplishment while I collect my thoughts as the day draws to a close.

Chosen Luxury - Running Revamp - Garmin Forerunner Trainer

Tonight, I downloaded the Garmin Training Center CD for my latest luxury, a Gramin Forerunner 205/305 GPS-enabled trainer for runners.  This is fabulous!

Obtaining this product was simple with the new system I have in place, given that I want what I want when I want it.  Often, I get overwhelmed with information/product overload.  Now, rather than searching too much for not, I simply spend a bit of time on Consumer Search, part of about.com, and decide what product would satisfy my needs.  Then, after a quick switch to the Amazon website, my research and purchase are complete.  A day or two later, my chosen luxury arrives, and I am stresslessly satisfied.

I have run several times with my Garmin, with huge success.  After taking the few minutes to download the Traning Center, I have discovered a new toy that will bring me such pleasure.

While I could spend too much time with my new toy, I am satisfied to know that my satisfaction is high regardless of my use level.  For example,  I have not even begun to understand the heart rate functions.  I can save them for another day.  For now, I will digest the fun I have had thus far....

Taking time

I have been so busy, and haven't made the time for Blogger.  I want to fit this in among the few things I doing for myself.  Presently, I am collecting myself while my husband and son aren't home,an extreme rarity.  My thoughts are many, but the words are few.  The two will come equal this month, which will help me stay sane.

Recently, I decided that the most important thing I can do for myself is to run or cross train each day.  This choice has been a wise one!  Overall, I am feeling much more strong in so many ways
